Jerry & Brenda Schuetz

Jerry grew up in South Central Africa as the son of veteran ACOP missionary
couple, Lloyd and Madeline Schuetz. He studied at Full Gospel Bible Institute (now Eston College) in Eston, Saskatchewan, where he met Brenda.

They graduated together and then served in Hillcrest Apostolic Church (Moose
Jaw, Sask.) as youth pastors. They moved to Lethbridge in 1991 and served as associate pastors in River of Life Community Church (then called First Congregational Church).

Jerry and Brenda began their full-time missions work as ACOP missionaries to Malawi. They worked alongside the national leadership in church planting, discipleship training, leadership development, building & development of and teaching at a Bible Training Centre, building two city churches and
extension teaching in different districts throughout Malawi.

In 2001 the Lord led them to Zambia to oversee the development at Heart of Africa Mission, Kitwe, Zambia. With a Christian Training College started with 4 students in Kitwe, they worked to formalize the college and develop practical bi-vocational training opportunities for the students. The Heart
of Africa Mission Christian Training College was given a piece of land and Jerry and Brenda worked with the Zambian leadership to prepare the land for the arrival of the college and supporting income-generating businesses.

Heart of Africa Missions Christian Training College is a self-supporting bi-vocational training centre where men and women are trained for ministry in Bible, Theology and practical vocations. The Lord has raised up an excellent team of Zambian faculty and management to give leadership to the ministry at Heart of Africa Missions Christian Training College. Jerry &
Brenda continue to work along side this dedicated team in teaching and training students and faculty, and supervising the micro-industries and development projects as well as ministering in local churches. Some of the Micro-industries at Heart of Africa Mission include a poultry project, fish
dams, banana plantation, vegetable garden, fruit orchard and bee apery. There have been numerous development projects on the campus and farm, mostly built by visiting short term mission teams from Canada. Currently the student body fluctuates between 25 and 33 students from Zambia, Congo and
Canada. Their desire is to see Christian leaders equipped and discipled to reach their country and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their vision is to "Reach and teach the nations to reach and teach the nations". Along with their work at the college, they also work with the national leadership of the Apostolic Church of Pentecost of Zambia (ACOPZ) and local churches.

Jerry and Brenda have three sons - Jared (10), Samuel (8) and Joshua (7).
Along with her many other missionary commitments, Brenda also homeschools the three boys.
